Background • Alcan: • Aluminum manufacturer • $25 billion company, 88,000 employees, operations in more than 60 countries • Ford: • Sells 6,700,000 vehicles a year • Over 325,000 employees – manufacturing is about 80% of this total • Manufacturing facilities in 25 countries on 6 continents  big impact potential!
