  2. What is it? • PCOS is a problem in which a woman’s hormones become unbalanced. It can cause problems with periods and make it difficult to get pregnant. In some cases it may also change the way you look.

  3. What causes it? • This disease can happen because of large changes in hormone levels. PCOS also runs in families, so you have a higher chance of getting this disease if another woman in your family has it too.

  4. What happens? • Many small cysts form on the ovaries. These cysts are not harmful, but they do cause hormone imbalances. Other changes in your body can occur like: Acne, weight gain, extra hair on the face and body, and fertility problems.

  5. Can the body fix it? • Natural cures are said to be the most effective in getting rid of this disease. The body may be able to reverse the effects of this disease if the person with it switches to a better diet.

  6. Medications and cures • There are numerous types of medication to help with weight gain, hair loss/growth, and acne that is caused by PCOS. There is no real cure for this disease, however, all that can be done to help with it is by controlling your hormone levels
