Information • Born May 11, 1904 in Spain • Died January 23, 1989 • Lived most of his life in Spain, France, and the U.S. • At age 5, his parents told him he was the reincarnation of his brother. He came to believe this was true. • At age 16, Dali’s mother died and his father married Dali’s aunt. • In 1929, Dali was thrown out of his house by his father and was disinherited because of a painting he did that his father disapproved of.
World Events • World War II was being fought • This sparked Dali’s move to America • The Spanish Civil War was also occurring • The Tunguska Explosion happened. • In Russia, a meteor supposedly exploded
