Adding Subpages in Theme • 1) Go to Teacher's website • 2) Click on “advanced” and switch to “Design Mode” • 3) In the left margin, click on add Portlet to pageset • 4) Use the drop-down under "Basic" and select Content Management and put a check next to Site Navigation, and click Update Page • 5) You will now see Site Navigation in the margin and click on Edit • 6) You will see Hierarchy; go down and click the box next to Child Pages and hit submit • 7) Refresh the teacher page and the subpages will show again...

  19. Adding the Subpage Menu to All Pages • 1) Go to teacher's website • 2) Click on “advanced” and switch to “Design Mode” • 3) In the left margin, click on “Edit” in the navigation portlet • 4) You will see Hierarchy; go down and click the boxes next to “Parent Page” and “Child or Sibling Page” and hit submit • 5) Refresh the teacher page and the subpages will show againon all pages in your website

  32. Changing Portlets Portlets are boxes that are automatically placed in teacher webpages.

  33. Changing Portlets • Go to whatever page you want to remove those boxes from. • In the tool bar go to “advance” and select “switch to design mode” • You will see a red box with an “X” in the upper right hand corner of each box. Delete it/them. A warning window will appear telling you these changes are permanent. Click the box saying you “understand” and delete. • After you have deleted the boxes, there should be a clickable link that says “add portlet to region.” Click on that. • There should be two drop down menus that appear. The right one should say “basic.” if it does not, switch so it does. Then, in the check boxes below it, select “content”.  • Click “update website.” • After that step refresh the page you were working on and it should be blank. Then you can go to the toolbar under “page properties” and select “edit” like you were doing on Tuesday and hyperlink pages like you were doing before, but that ugly box will be gone!
