  1. SLS Box 1&2 Calibration Results Authors: Date: 2014-09-13 Russell Huang (MediaTek)

  2. Provide SLS calibration result for Box 1&2 tests in 4 scenarios. Help verify the test results of other calibrating companies. Prepare for further calibration tests. Abstract Russell Huang (MediaTek)

  3. Background • Evaluation methodology has been defined in [4]. • 4 test scenarios have been specified in [3]. Some modifications of calibration setting had been proposed in [2]. • 4 companies provided box1 & 2 calibration results in July meeting [1]. • Some companies provide further results [5]. • PHY abstraction calibrated already. • Simulation tool: NS3 (with Channel D and Umi channel generated by Matlab) • Our results: • Following documents [3], [2] and [4]. • Box 1 & 2 calibration results presented in this document. • Curves compared with the ones from [1] are available. • Some curves are not smooth enough due to short of running time. Overview Russell Huang (MediaTek)

  4. Box 1 • T1: Interference-free • T2: DL only • T3: UL only • T4: 50%UL + 50%DL, outputting SINR for UL and DL • T5: all active, outputting SINR for UL and DL • Box2 • T1: Interference-free, outputting Per Tone SNR and Effective SNR • T2: DL only, outputting Per Tone SINR and Effective SINR • T3: CCA on, selecting Tx according to specified algorithm, outputting Per Tone SINR and Effective SINR for UL and DL. 6. Box 1 Enterprise Scenario Russell Huang(MediaTek)

  7. Box 1 Indoor Scenario Russell Huang(MediaTek)

  8. Box 1 Outdoor Scenario Russell Huang(MediaTek)

  9. Box 2 Apartment Scenario Russell Huang(MediaTek)

  10. Box 2 Enterprise Scenario Russell Huang(MediaTek)

  11. Box 2 Indoor Scenario Russell Huang(MediaTek)

  12. Box 2 Outdoor Scenario Russell Huang(MediaTek)

  13. Three 80MHz 5G channels are used for residential scenario (SS1). Four 80MHz 5G channels are used for Enterprise scenarios (SS2). A minimum 10m distance from APs for STA dropping is applied for outdoor scenario (SS4). STA num, SS1: 10 per apartment, SS2: 4 per cubicle, SS3: 30 per BSS, SS4: 50 per BSS Association is assumed to be static. CCA level in Box 2 Test 3 is -70. STAs are dropped within the big hexagon that covers all the cells in SS3 and SS4. 1000+ entries can give you smooth curves. Some Notes on Calibration Russell Huang(MediaTek)

  14. All curves of box1 and box2 are present. Our curve are either coincide with the result in [1] or sitting in between the curves in [1] Summary Russell Huang(MediaTek)
