Join the working group of high school teachers from 2008 as they take you on an exciting journey through the world of science. Our outreach videos, focusing on specific topics, are designed to capture the imagination of 15-16-year-olds. Watch as we present scientific understanding in the context of doing science, including evidence for accepted ideas and questions that still need to be answered. Our pilot episode sets the stage for future episodes, showcasing the process of scientific discovery.

Original Concept • Audience is 15-16 year olds • Outreach videos should focus on a specific topic • Videos should be short (4-10 minutes) • Capture students’ imagination • Present scientific understanding in the context of doing science – scientific process • Evidence for currently accepted scientific ideas • Questions that still need to be answered • Who, What, Where, How, and Why these questions will be pursued • Our pilot episode provides an example of these
