Materials • Index cards with nature scenes on the back • PowerPoint Equipment • Computers for the students (with internet access) • Haiku Assessments
Modifications • Continuing activities for early finishers • Alternative explanations and vocabulary to adjust to student understanding • Partnering students with varying levels of understanding in order to promote learning
Assessment • Student responses to instructor’s questions • Student-created Haiku on back of index card will be submitted to instructor for review and suggestions • Formal assessment as conclusion on second day of instruction
