Timothy Byrd Roberts was born May 30th, 1964 in Anchorage, Alaska.
He has 5 sisters. • Two of his sisters are older, and three are younger.
During high school, he joined the wrestling team in the winter, ... ...and he ran track in the spring
He worked for his father’s land surveying company each summer.
Afer graduating, he went to junior college in sunny Florida.
Next, he went back to Alaska to finish a bachelor's degree in English.
After university, Tim went to graduate school. He spent his summers working on an Anchorage golf course.
Before finishing his MA, Tim took two years off to teach in Niigata, Japan.
When he finally finished his master’s degree, Tim decided he was finished with studying FOREVER!
Tim also lived in San Bernardino, California for a year and a half. He taught freshman writing courses at a nearby community college.
Taking some time off from work, Tim went to Central and South America for a total of 6 months. He studied some Spanish there.
The next year, he went to work at a university in Thailand. The pay was lousy...!
When he returned to Korea, Tim worked at universities in Daegu, Incheon, Gyeongsan, and Hayang.
He’s been very happy here for the last 18 months, enjoying the beautiful scenery and exploring Gyeongju.
