2. The blitz Air raids on London began in September 1940.This war the start of the blitz. Lots of other places were bombed ,including Industrial cities and ports such as Birmingham , Coventry, Liverpool, Hull and Glasgow. There were Eastbourne And on Cathedral cities such as Canterbury.

3. Gas masks By September 9309 some 38 million gas masks had been given about house to house to house, to families. They were never to be needed.

4. Dog fights • Dog fights are fighting plains in the air. Such as lots of plains from different countries like Britain, Germany, Poland, France, Italy.

5. The blitz … • Evacuation means leaving a place. During the second world war, many children living in big cities and towns were moved temporarily from their homes to places considered safer usually out in the country –side.
