What is it? • Tamiflu is a drug used to treat the flu (influenza A and B, as well as swine influenza A). • Chemical formula C16H28N2O4
What does it do? • Attacks the flu virus at its source. • In a clinical trial, Tamiflu helped patients recover 30% faster when taken within 48 hours of their first flu symptoms.
Side Effects May include… • Confusion • Shaking • Problems with speech • Halleucinations • Strange behavior • It is not known if Oseltamivir was the exact cause of the symptoms. • Occurs most often in children.
