BEGINNING of NAGORNO KARABAKH TENSIONS Soviet policy -“Divide and Rule” 1991, Oct 18 -INDEPENDENT AZERBAIJAN  1992-1994- Invasion of NagornoKarabakh. Thus, 20% of Azerbaijan Lands becomes under the occupation of Armenia.
