CLEP: A College Completion Tool • Translates prior-learning experience into college credit • 33 computer-based exams • $87 cost of each exam, plus test center fee ($20-25) CLEP is the credit-by-examination program serving the most diverse group of students—traditional and non-traditional (minimum age of 13) students.

Students Save and Achieve with CLEP • Time-Saving Avenue to Degree Completion • PLA students earning bachelor’s degrees saved on average between 2.5 and 10.1 months time in earning their degrees. • Grants College Credit • Students who get a satisfactory score in a CLEP exam can possibly earn between 3 and 12 college credits for what they already know.

Key CLEP Facts: • Students take CLEP exams on a computer at official CLEP test centers (CHS, etc.). • CLEP exams contain multiple-choice questions. • CLEP exams take about 90–120 minutes to complete, depending on the exam subject. • CLEP exams are offered year-round at more than 2,000 CLEP test centers across the country. • Students receive their CLEP exam scores immediately after completing the exam (except for College Composition). • More than 2,900 U.S. colleges and universities grant credit for CLEP.

Dual Enrollment • 11th • US History • Meet admission requirements to U of M • Maintain a 2.75 GPA • Buy textbook (online or hard copy) • 4 points added to a students’ average each 9 weeks • 1.0 quality point added when calculating the weighted GPA (Ex: an A would get 5 points, a B 4 points, etc.) • 6 credits earned at U of M (pass the class)
