This guide demonstrates how to search for Dissertations and Theses from Aurora University and other institutions in the ProQuest database.
On this page, scroll down the list and click on “Proquest Dissertations and Theses”
The homepage will look like this. Select “Dissertations & Theses” to perform a simple keyword search of the dissertations and theses in this database
The page should now look like this. Enter your search terms (use quotations to search for words as a phrase) and use any of these options to narrow your search.
The results will display like this. Each record will display the title, author, school, and most will have a link to a pdf of the full text. You can narrow your results by expanding the options to the right- Full text only (some items are not available full text, only summaries are available), Subject, language, date, etc.
The full text pdf will bring up the entire dissertation or thesis like this. You have the option to read it online, or you can print it or email it to yourself. Be aware that dissertations can be over 100 pages long.
