Germs Go To School Mrs. Scheiderer’s 4th Grade Summer Class Observation: We saw lots of germs. The door handle had the most germs. Hypothesis: Things that people touch have more germs.. Prediction: We would see more germs on things that people touch alot. What did we do?: We swabbed things that people touch and things that people do not touch. We dipped a swab in water. We swabbed back and forth a spot as big as our pinkie finger. We rubbed the swab on a petri dish. We looked at our petri dishes after 3 days. Computer Mouse Things People Touch. We saw lots of germs again. We saw more germs on the smart board, the computer mouse, the dusty CD case and the dusty box and the sink handle. Conclusion Things that people touch a lot and things that are not cleaned have the most germs.
