Rebuilding Together 2009 “Shirley Brewer ’s House” The Menlo Park Kiwanis Club & The Menlo Park Firefighters Association
Pre House Inspection By the Kiwanis Club and the Menlo Park Firefighters Association
The Priorities were set for Shirley's house, by Shirley, the Kiwanis Club and Menlo Park Firefighters: De-clutter the home by filling two twenty yard dumpsters. Hardwire smoke detectors in all bedrooms and the hallway of the home. Yard Work. Add a closet for storage. Install upper cabinets in the kitchen. Re-painted the inside of the home. Scrape and clean the windows, inside and out. Replace wood siding on the Garage that had Dry Rot Damage. Scraped, patched and repainted the outside of the home and garage. Clean up electrical wiring and added new plugs and switches inside. Install new light fixtures. Replace attic and foundation vents. Install new screen doors. Add screens to her existing front porch. Brand new roof and gutters. A new air conditioner/furnace.
Rebuilding Shirley’s House would not have been so successful without the following individuals…
The Menlo Park Firefighters Association exists to protect, preserve and improve both the lives of the Citizens of the Fire District and the Members of the Firefighters’ Association
