The Responsible Partnering The Handbook on Responsible Partnering is issued by the main European organisations supporting research, development and knowledge transfer European Association of Research and Technology Organisations European Industrial Research Management Association European University Association ProTon Europe Responsible Partnering offers a voluntary and flexible framework for effective research collaboration and knowledge transfer. Its purpose is to enhance the effectiveness of these activities, achieve greater value for all parties, and enable Public Research Organisations to make more direct and useful contributions to innovation without detriment to their core missions.

Conclusion Innovation is development of new product/service/technology based on research. Public research is at the beginning of the innovation line, industry is at the end, a part of the path should be shared in partnership. The tools should be used in agreement. The different own missions and roles should be seen as opportunities rather than disadvantages. The efficiency strongly depends on the participation of all of the four actors. Acknowledgment
