Getting In • Recommendations: Talk upfront with current professors • Tests: Free help at CFAR…use it! • Personal Statement: • Fit and competition: Why this program? Who you will work with and why? What makes you a great candidate? (Honors, research experience, etc.) • Communicate with prospective schools
Paying For It • Graduate Assistantships • 20 hours/week • Tuition + Stipend ($15,000-$20,000/year) + Health Insurance • Teaching and Research Experience • Tuition Scholarships • No work requirement • Communicate early with grad programs
Accelerated Master’s Program • Take up to 12 graduate credits during senior year • Get up to 33% master’s coursework done senior year • Dual Credit Courses • Senior grad courses are free! • Admission: • Requires 3.20 overall GPA • Apply for the semester you want to start taking graduate courses • e.g., To take grad courses in Spring 2014, then you must complete application by December 1, 2013 • Application available at gradschool.unh.edu
