Market Trials 2010 Roadmap http://nodal.ercot.com 4
Day-to-day operations summary: Planned / Unplanned Outages of EDS Planned Outages None during Business Hours this week Next Friday, 8/13, the CRR application will be down (this will not affect posting the Sept network model to MIS) Unplanned Outages Monday, 8/2 11:15am-11:20am (restart CRR application so that bid limits for Annual auction would take effect) http://nodal.ercot.com 5
Known Issues • Topology Processor (software that creates the PSS/E file from the Network data) does not export the outages to CRR’s PSS/E file – manual updates are being applied for the September network model, but the vendor has commited to having this fixed asap – we will keep you apprised of the status • Annual Market for 2011-2012 allows OBL bids beyond first month (Operator error – not an application, infrastructure, or data defect) • Estimated Exposure for the Locked Credit incorrectly calculated and sent to downstream systems for Annual Market (only Wed DAM was affected). Fixed by vendor and will be deployed on 8/13 into Production.

Q&A Q&A / Open Forum http://nodal.ercot.com 8
Questions from the Forum? • Q: What will the new procedure be if NPR233 passes? • A: The proposed Protocol revision, NPR233, sets the following limits on the number of CRR bids to be submitted. • 1) Auction Bid Limit = Maximum of 10,000 bids per CRRAH • 2) If the Maximum System Bid Limit (currently 200,000) is exceeded then • Secondary Bid Limit = (Maximum System Bid Limit / number of CRRAHs) • CRR System will automatically track bid counts across Portfolios for each CRRAH, such that Auction Bid Limit is not exceed by multiple portfolio submissions • At the close of the bidding window, ERCOT will ‘unsubmit” all the portfolios of CRRAH’s whose combined bid total exceeded the Secondary Bid Limit • ERCOT will notify CRRAHs who’s portfolios have been unsubmitted from the auction to edit their portfolios such that the total bid count meet the Secondary Bid Limit and then resubmit them to the auction – this will be a very short timeframe during Business Hours • 3) Maximum of 3 CRRAHs per Counterparty • Maximum System Bid Limit, Auction Bid Limit, and Secondary Bid Limit will be published in the Market Notice • For more information on the proposed NPR, see http://nodal.ercot.com/protocols/nprr/index.html http://nodal.ercot.com 9
