Why use transparencies in your journaling? • Helps your student be an active learner in their education • Enables the kinesthetic learner in using the manipulatives to learn • Appeals to your tactile and kinesthetic learners • Allows your visual learner to use a kind of ‘thinking map’ to organize usinformation

  3. Let’s get started • Take notes in class and then enable your students in extending their learning and organizing their information in a meaningful manner

  4. So, your journal will be… • RIGHT – Teacher Side • LEFT – Student Side

  5. Now, Let’s Try It! Get your materials ready and we will begin.

  6. Your Turn • To get started: • Most of our interactive transparency study guides, require: - A white sheet of cardstock - ‘2-3’ sheets of transparencies pre-cut for students - A brad - A Hole punch - Ultra Fine Point Sharpies (Min. 4 colors)

  7. Here we go!!! • Grab your supplies, and get ready! • The first one we are going to do is for the Chemistry unit(s). • Do your students have trouble with The Periodic Table of the Elements? This should help them!

  8. Step 1 On cardstock draw the element of choice onto the cardstock as seen on the periodic table of elements.
