The initiative led by the Polish Chess Federation aims to enhance math skills in grades 1-3 through chess. Over 150,000 pupils benefit from the program, with 3,800 teachers trained in chess methodology and gameplay. Additional support includes annual tournaments, teaching materials, and a special award for outstanding educators. How doesitwork in POLAND? Declaration of voluntaryaccess: • compulsory classes • in at least one class of early education • for the minimum of one hour per week • for at least two years • teachers with a certificate of completion the 72-hour course • descriptive assessment of the activities of chess • participation of students in the evaluation of the project.
