Game Story • The year is 2199. • You are Roid, a promising young droid out to prove yourself. • After several orbits of isolated practice, you finally qualified as the youngest ever droid to race in the Plas-Circuit Races. • The first race begins at the 487th clock cycle of the planets 51st rotation of the 2199th orbit around the sun. • By winning consecutive gold metals, Roid wins the Bolt Cup. • Time to spill Oil!!!
Appearance • Complete 3D immersive world • Fantasy/cartoon feel to the environment • Natural Environment as Primary design theme • Technology is secondary theme • Race Tracks • More or less circular • Standard path to complete a lap outlined by rough terrain that slows velocity • Contains several obstacles • Boost patches • Speed reducing patches • Off limits areas • Each track follows a generic level theme. • Third Person Racing game • Self adjusting camera behind player
Appearance • Interface • HP Left • Weapon Equipped • Lap Position / Radar • Laps Complete • Time • Crosshairs / Targeting Mechanism • Player • Humanoid looking robot • Pilots a racer (looks as if sitting inside a go-kart) • CPU Racers are similar in general with different color / detail to define uniqueness.
Player Roles & Actions • 3 Unique Racers Types • Tank • Highest HP • Tight Steering • Slow attack rate / High Dmg per hit • Long range attack (single shot gun) • Hovercraft • Medium HP • Loose Steering • Medium attack rate / medium Dmg per hit • Melee attack range (laser lance) • Jet Kart • Medium HP • Medium Steering • Fast attack rate / low Dmg per hit • Medium attack range (machine gun)
Player Roles & Actions • Limited Weapon use that recharges with non-use. • Limited turbo / evade use that recharges with non-use. • 8 racers per race (up to __ humans ???) • Same or Mixed units • Non-Human Races fill in rest of 8 racers • First to complete 3 laps wins race • 1st Place is 8 points • 2nd Place is 5 points • 3rd Place is 3 points • Most points after 3 races wins level and gets trophy • Blow up other racers to slow them down • Temporarily stalled • Recharge weapons & turbo/evade

Strategies & Motivations • Designed for game pad controller • Similar to games such as Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing, etc • Different racer types allow different terrain reactions • Ex. hovercraft over water • Ex. paths only accessible by Jet Kart • Paper, rock, scissor effect with racers • No single best strategy • All racer types have advantages and disadvantages • Both a race and shooter game
Level Summary / Story Progression • 4 uniquely themed levels • (1 level for sure, others if time permits) • 3 tracks per level • Level Themes • Robot City • Volcanic Island • Desert Plains • Ocean Level • Most points for all track of a level beats level • Subsequent levels locked until previous mastered • Trophy as reward with cut-scene for award ceremony • Completing all levels yields the Bolt Cup and unlocks bonus battle mode
