Goals - Discuss future goals for this class and life. Pizza Slice Fundraiser. Check out books. Dashing Denny. Homework – Write me a note about what you would like to see happen between now and the end of the year. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary quiz #16 on Friday.

Senior English 1/3/13 • Write on a subject of your choice. • What did the painter say to his girlfriend? • Ylem – the primordial stuff from which the various elements of matter were formed – neutrons, protons, etc. Goals - Senior Service Project organization. Fundraising. Paragraph coherence. Communication in the real world – a model. Homework – Don’t forget to study for vocabulary quiz #16 tomorrow.

  3. Senior English 1/4/13 • Five minutes to prepare for Quiz 16. • What five letter word has 6 left when you take two letters away? • Lentiginous – heavily freckled. Goals – Complete Vocabulary #16. Mrs. Day will update about FAFSA. Homework – None.

Senior English 1/7/13 • How can the audience cause interference with the message and feedback? • What is the difference between here and there? • Plook – the Scottish word for a nasty pimple or boil. Goals - Change focus in our communication toward the audience needs, clarifying purpose, and punctuation. Homework – none.

  5. Senior English 1/8/13 • Give it an understanding, but no tongue. Shakespeare, Hamlet • What is worse than “raining cats and dogs?” • Papuliferous – pimply. Goals – Learn how to take notes from lecture. Practice writing clear sentences. Homework – Finish any practice that we started but you did not finish.

Goals – Analyze the characteristics of writing good instructions. Practice note-taking. Homework – Finish any practice that we started but you did not finish. Don’t forget to study for quiz #17 tomorrow.
