2005 Strategic Direction (OGSM) • Goal: Build membership to 15,000 • Strategy: Build a functional, content-rich website • Strategy: Provide web based functionality for membership management • Strategy: Brand web based forums under BDPA • Goal: Deliver and promote national initiatives • Strategy: Active participation in strategic planning for all business units • Strategy: Incorporate BDPA journal and related publications into common web presence • Strategy: Integrate HSCC portal into core site 2005-1Q NBOD Meeting
2005 Strategic Direction (OGSM) • Goal: Expand the NHQ to function as a core business office • Strategy: Implement solutions to strengthen each business unit (membership management, membership services, finance, etc.) • Strategy: Implement solutions that can be leveraged throughout the organization • Strategy: Provide template for website development to local chapters 2005-1Q NBOD Meeting
Program Enhancements New public BDPA Website (www.bdpa.org) • Development team • Headed up by Dwight Hugget, National CTO • 3 Developers • BDPA member John Marlonson (Los Angeles Chapter) • Effort to date • 140+ hours • Scheduled launch date • Weekend of February 11, 2005 2005-1Q NBOD Meeting
Program Enhancements Improved Infrastructure • Environment that supports flexibility and redundancy • Proper separation of functions • Equipment owned by BDPA and managed by service provider • 4 servers deployed • $100/month/server (3) • 1 server donated (short-term) 2005-1Q NBOD Meeting

Deliverable Updates • Launch of public website • Release 1.0 scheduled for weekend of February 11th 2005-1Q NBOD Meeting
Challenges/Needs • Website launch • Managing project “creep” • Equipment • Need to purchase or acquire via donations • Project request SOP • Need to develop assortment of SOP/forms for technology support/development • Resources • Need to enlist additional talent to manage website and technology infrastructure • Lack of brand consistency • Alignment of local chapter material (printed and virtual) to national standard 2005-1Q NBOD Meeting
Next Quarter’s Activities • Participation in assessment of national office infrastructure • Development of release strategy for the public website • Query of elected/appointed officers and chapters to determine expectations and needs • Develop short and long-term project list • Solicitation for additional department volunteers • Development of specifications for organizational dashboards 2005-1Q NBOD Meeting
