VACANCY: Hygiene Team Members Location: Duns, Berwickshire Reporting to: Area Leader Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week (Nights) 4on 4 off (Dayshift – Annualised Hours) Start Date: ASAP Job Purpose Summary: To ensure site cleaning schedules are adhered to in allocated departments, including corrective action and maintenance in order to maintain site standard. Ensuring that we meet all customer and 3rd party standards. The main responsibilities for this position are: • To ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to in a timely manner. • To provide cover in the absence of other members of the Hygiene Team as and when required. • To use cleaning equipment as required e.g. mops/brooms/buckets/cloths/chemicals etc • To operate the sweeper. • To always ensure you adhere to company procedures, policies and guidelines. • To communicate effectively with all relevant personnel (including Agency staff) when required in an appropriate manner. • To communicate shift issues to Area Leader and Hygiene & H&S Coordinator. • To seek activities from Area Leader during periods of downtime. • To support production requirements. • To maintain accuracy in record keeping systems. • To attend and participate in team briefings and meetings to keep informed of company performance, HR issues, customer feedback, Health and Safety issues and product knowledge. • To discuss your training and development needs with your line manager. • To attend and positively participate in an annual appraisal with your line manager. • To comply with Time and Attendance at work (e.g. absence, lateness, start and finish times etc). • To ensure compliance with staff dress code/ work wear/ hygiene procedures. Key attributes, skills and abilities: The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with good communication skills and an ability to deliver tasks efficiently and on time.
