Homes arranged in groups • WEAPONS/TOOLS - canoes for fishing, shells as jewelry, baskets used for many reasons
SOCIAL LIFE • Lived in communities of 2,000 people • Houses were grouped together • November was rabbit hunt month • Were nomadic (traveled around following food-no permanent home)
ASSIGNMENT OF ROLES • Men were the hunters of the food • Women were the gathers of the food
ART • Clam shell necklaces • Woven baskets
RELIGION • Feared spirits of the dead. Once you died everything you had was burned including the body and the name was never spoken of again.
