Students are expected to: • Keep hands, feet, objects, and negative comments to yourself. • Respect ALL adults in the building, and use appropriate language. • Maintain positive interactions with adults and peers. • Eating and drinking are allowed only in the cafeteria; gum chewing is prohibited. • Adhere to Memphis City Schools dress code policy.   26. Arrival and Dismissal(Morning Entry & Afternoon Exit) After proceeding through metal detection, students will report to breakfast or homeroom upon entering the building. Teachers and administrators will greetthe students as they enter the building at designated entrances. Students are considered tardy after 7:25 a.m. Students who are tardy should report to the discipline office to receive an admit to class. Students should not arrive on campus until 7:00 a.m. The cafeteria will be open at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast. Students should not be in the halls before school. A staggered dismissal will begin with bus riders at 2:05 p.m. Walkersand car riders will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m. Students should be off campus by 2:30 p.m. unless accompanied by a teacher for a specific activity.   40. Ridgeway adheres to the School-Wide Safety plan that is outlined in the Classroom Crisis Response Procedures manual. This manual provides all Memphis City Schools with consistent emergency procedures across the district. • Drills for tornado, lockdown, fire and earthquakes are conducted on a regular basis. Both announced and unannounced drills occur each semester. • Evacuation sites are clearly marked. Each classroom has a copy of the evacuation route posted. Teachers review these procedures with each class period during the first week of each semester. School Safety Plan

Data is used by the School Discipline Committee to monitor progress toward strategic goals. • Each 20-day period disciplinary data is collected from SMS and analyzed to determine the effectiveness of our disciplinary procedures and adjustments are made accordingly. • The information is strategically analyzed in conjunction with the COMPSTAT and SDIS Model. • A mentor will be provided for new teachers. Support will be provided for all teachers. Monitoring Process
