Korea Regional Alliance – Abu Dhabi 2011 • Activities • Developed BIM roadmap development with PPS(Public Procurement Service) • Developed BIM Guidelines for PPS to adopt Open BIM for the governmental buildings(2012 Turn-Key project $45 million) • Governmental R&D Projects • Nationally distributed National BIM roadmap and Guideline Project (by buildingSMART Korea) • Super-tall buildings Project with BIM is ongoing (National R&D project) • Open BIM based traditional Korea style building design system development project is ongoing (National R&D project) • Open BIM based low carbon design and large scale facility maintenance technology development project is ongoing (National R&D project) • Open BIM Education • Open BIM education focusing on execution project from initial stage to final construction with CERIK(Construction and Economy Research Institute of Korea) • Open BIM Awards • BIM Awards for each construction area (vision, green, design and construction) • Established BIM Practice Registration System • Total 97 practices are registered • Architecture design (40), Engineering (4), IT (43), Laboratory (2), Others (8) • Publication of the 4th issue of “The BIM” • “The BIM” Autumn, 2010 (“The Future of BIM – Where are we and where are we heading for”)
