What is Electromagnetic system? • Electromagnetic system is a scale of different radiations.
Each level on the scale • Radio waves – most humans use radio waves each day, we use it for music and cell phones and televisions. • Microwaves – some humans use microwaves every day, to warm up food. Its also a satellite for cell phones and televisions. • Infuriate rays – it detects body rays. • Invisible light - like the sun is invisible light, lamp light. • UV rays – are invisible rays from the sun. • X rays – humans use to see bones. • Gama rays- is the smallest wavelength with the most energy. We use it to kill living cells and for medicine.
Definitions and examples • Transparent – you can see threw. • Examples – window, water, glass, plastic, air • Translucent – could see through but could only see shapes. • Examples – wax paper, Kool-Aid, plastic, paper • Opaque – when you cant see threw it. • Examples – book, wall, floor, humans, gold, metal, cement
How we interact with them • Transparent- we use it when ever we see threw a window, • Translucent – we use it when ever we look threw kool-aid. • Opaque – we use it when ever we look at the floor
