  2. Oceania • Oceania is a term that defines the nations that are in the south western Pacific Ocean. • It includes all of Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia.

  3. Task: Create a Bubble Map • Create a Bubble Map for Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia. • Each Bubble Map will include the different nations (minimum of 3) that are within the region of Oceania. • Use Culture Grams

  4. How to navigate to Culture Grams • Go to http://online.culturegrams.com • Username: leilehua • Password: mules • Go to “World Edition” • Click on Oceania • Click on a minimum of 3 countries in each of the 3 “nesia’s” and create a Bubble Map.

  5. Micronesia

  6. Narrow down to 1 Island Nation for each of Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia • Select one island nation within each of the “nesia’s.” - Polynesia, Micronesia, Melanesia. • For each nation, find out: • What is the flag of the nation? • What type of government is the nation under? • What is the name of the currency (money)? • What is the population? • What is the main industry? • A unique thing about the nation (culture/laws/etc.)
