Weekend & Week 2Schedule Saturday & Sunday Free time to stay in Geneva, visit the French Alps, Paris or any other place Monday – Thursday Class 9AM to 4 PM (Wed factory visit) Thursday afternoon & Friday Exams/Final Presentations Due
Academics • Faculty from Lyon 3 and Carlson • 4 Credits, A-F • International Business (IBUS) 5130 • Elective graduate business credit • See Handout for Course Details
Registration & Billing • I will register you in April/May for Summer Session 2005 • Payment will be as usual, thru STARS (U of M billing system) • Payment due to U of M by July 13, 2005 (billing statement June 18) • $500 deposit has been paid through STARS
Preparation • Valid Passport • Non US passport holders may need visa • Airline ticket • Visit Learning Abroad Center,230 Heller Hall, www.umabroad.umn.edu • Study basic French • Learn about France and Lyon: culture, politics, language, etc.
Local Currency • Plan to arrive with about $100 in Euros in your pocket (get at bank, MSP Airport, or ATM in European airport) • Plan to use your cash card (know your PIN and if your bank charges extra international fees) • Beware of credit cards that charge higher rates and immediate interest for international transactions/cash withdrawals • You may want to let your bank know of your travel plans
