Mormons • Founded by Joseph Smith in the 1820s. • Smith claimed to have visions from God and created a new bible, known as the Book of Mormon. • Practiced polygamy from the 1820s – 1920s, which is illegal in the US. • Most Mormons are centered in Utah • 6.1 million Mormons in the United States.
