THE PROFESSION • A COMPUTER PROGRAMMER designs and creates software/ programs, ensuring that the design is translated into a programming language that the computer understands. • This includes creating graphical user interface so non-technical user can use the compute easily. • A computer programmer is paid 72,280 US Dollars annually and 34.75 US Dollars hourly.

THE JOB OF A COMPUTER PROGRAMMER • A skilled and experienced computer programmer can open his own consulting practice. • The software developed by people in these jobs is typically used to increase productivity. They: • Define the need. • Design a flow chart. • Code the software. • Debug. • Beta test it

  4. THE PROFESSION • A COMPUTER TRAINER/TEACHER is an instructor who specializes in teaching others about computer hardware and software • A person in this position may work for a college, small school or may be hired by a company to work in-house to train employees.

  5. THE JOB OF A COMPUTER TEACHER/ TRAINER They: • explain how computers work in easily understood terms • train employees in use of software used in a firm’s daily business operations • give a basic appreciation for the hardware used/ needed for particular situations
