Past perfect She said (that) she had taught English online the day before. Past Perfect She said (that) she had been on the web since 1999. Simple Present She said, “It's cold here.” Present Progressive She said, “I am teaching English now” Past simple She said, “I taught English online yesterday." Present perfect She said, “I have been on the web since 1999.”
