The Problem • People love to go jogging, especially women • Women throughout history have been assaulted by males • Women joggers are perfect prey for predators • Rapists and murderers often stalk joggers because of the “Runners’ High” they get from jogging making them sometimes unaware of their surroundings

  3. Looks good… but weapons can be taken away So weapons don’t provide a solution

Coming up with integrated suit Resolution Operators: • Separate between the whole and its parts (Break down taser) • Alternative bi-system (power, grid, trigger) • Concentrate energy (shock the monkey) • Make a ‘road’ (Make a path for energy) • Apply physical effects (no aim required) • Divide into mobile parts (detection, arming)

  5. The Idea • Most joggers jog in some type of suit • By making a suit with an automatic built in defense mechanism, distractions don’t matter, and weapons cannot be taken away.

  6. The Analysis shows promise One problem remains: Can’t go around shocking everyone though …

Additional Operators Elimination • Use Flexible materials • Add an insulator • Apply contact phenomena • Localize a harmful action • Facilitate detection in advance • Use inexpensive objects • Vary an optical characteristic (sound) • Simultaneous operation • Apply standing waves • Concurrent operation • Self-Service • Make an object dismountable • Specialization • Adapt a tool to a person • Combine existing systems

  8. The Solution • “Shock the Monkey” is the perfect defense system for the walking or jogging female
