Course accomplishments • Creation of four pre-training lessons • Lessons 1-3: Mac OSX Basics • Lesson 4: Quickstart lesson for Windows users • Each lesson contains: • 1-2 enhanced video screenshot tutorials • 1 Blackboard based quiz • 1 reading or video assignment & response question • 1 discussion board question

13. Lessons learned • Start early • Be Persistent • Have multiple SW tools available to do job • Spend time learning CMS

14. Lessons learned • Start early • Many false starts • First two clients dropped out • Leave time for technical problems • Couldn’t access 6358 Elluminate sessions • Software needed to create tutorials crashed

15. Lessons learned • Be Persistent • Almost ready to give up and drop the course • Found Dubspot after two failed attempts • Now have paid employment with Dubspot!

16. Lessons learned • Have multiple SW tools available to do job • Early March: Lost Windows capability on my Mac • No time to reformat machine • Time spent researching, learning more limited Mac SW

17. Lessons learned • Spend time learning CMS • Locate existing resources • Initially overlooked quiz features of Blackboard • Confusion with HTML and formatting of text
