State Testing CRCT is a series of 5 tests administered over 5 days. Each day is broken into 2 70 minute section. Sections contain 25-40 questions. Test is administered by a teacher from another grade level and there is a proctor in the room at all times.

Third Grade Writing Assessment Teachers collect three writing samples: Expository (Informational) Narrative Opinion Samples are anonymously distributed to other teachers for grading using a writing rubric. The scores are reported on the Department of Education website & score reports go home with the end of the year report cards.

County Assessments CDAa & AimsWeb
Common District Assessments (CDAs) These are used at the end of each unit to determine mastery. The results are entered into the county platform. If the student moves from one school to another within Douglas County, the scores are available to the new teacher.
AimsWeb • Nationally referenced test used to determine progress. • Administered in August, January, May • Classroom teachers may progress monitor certain students when there are academic concerns. • Used to measure: • CBM: Reading Fluency- How many words per minute • MAZE: Vocabulary & reading comprehension • M-COMP: Math fact fluency • M-CAP: Mathematical thinking and concepts
