  1. BRANCH CIRCUITS • Branch Circuit-separate electrical [path independent of other circuits sized by the overcurrent protection device. • Electrical load- amount of power required for the branch circuit.

  2. LIGHTING LOADS • Generally all 120 volt 15 or 20 branch circuits in a dwelling, except bathroom circuits.

  3. OTHERBRANCH CIRCUITS ARTICLE 210.11 • A. Small appliance—(2)20 amp circuits • B. Laundry (1)20 amp circuits • C. Bathrooms (1) 20 amp • Article 210.12 Arc-Fault Protection • Nebraska does not require this

  4. SMALL APPLIANCE • minimum of two per dwelling • 20 amp • receptacles in kitchen, dining room, pantry • counter top receptacles 4ft. apart • receptacles to serve countertops must be G.F.C.I. protected

  5. (C) RECEPTACLES TO SERVE COUNTER TOP • 12” or wider wall counter spaces • island counter spaces • peninsular counter spaces

  6. BATHROOM AND LAUNDRY • 20 ampere • no other outlets on this circuit • all 125 volt 20 amp receptacles installed in the bathroom must be G.F.C.I. protected

  9. General purpose • 15 ampere • 180 volt-amp per outlet (other then dwelling units) • receptacles in bedroom, living room, and family room and lights throughout the house • receptacles spaced maximum 12 ft. apart

  10. APPLIANCE CIRCUITS RATED FOR EACH APPLIANCE • Water heater • Clothes dryer • Furnace • Range • Heaters • Dishwashers • Air conditioners • ampere rating given for each appliance
