The WONDERS OF SCIENCE! Science! Our life and blood! Who can deny the various wonders that science has provided for us, from our applied (or out of need) scientific discoveries like medicine to our discoveries made out of pure curiosity (or pure science) like magical flying machines! But how are these amazing things discovered? By, with the use of the scientific method! The scientific method is a set of steps to follow in order to get a repeatable experiment, or a fair test. Each experiment has something you test, such as the strength of a dog. These things your changing are variables. In the dog experiment, you would change the load the dog would pull. That is your Independent variable. How the dog does Pulling these things would be Your dependent variable. It Changes because of the inde- pendent variable. Of course, Certain things cant change, and Those are your control Variables. The group that was Exposed to your Independent Variable is your experimental Group, while the untested group is your control group.
The VASTNESS OF SPACE! Space! The final frontier. From day one, when early man looked into the sky and said “oog”, man has been inter- Ested with this great nothingness Around us, and how it was created. Now, Man has discovered what might be The explanation to the creation of Space: The Big Bang Theory. A theory is A scientific hypothesis that has been Repetitively proven to the point where It is true. This theory was based off the Observation, or something noticed, That all of the planets and stars we know are like residue from what could have been the biggest explosion ever. Someone then created a hypothesis, or educated guess, about that observation. Then they tested their experimented, and concluded (or summarized the results) that his hypothesis was correct! Multiple scientists tested this experiment, and eventually it was taken as true! So far, this is one of the only inferences, or logical explanations, we have for the creation of space.
The MATH behind the SCIENCE! Behind every subject is another, one that helps us understand the first. An example of this is the large amount Of math involved with science. Graphs Are an extremely large part of science Experiments. There are two commonly Used forms: the Bar and Line graph. The Bar graph is used to show a comparison, Such as the heights of different plants, while The line graph is used to show Progress, like the growth of two plants. Both of them often require the writing Of a qualitative or quantitative statement. A statement that is qualitative is based off what the statement is trying to say. An example is to say that “This plant is greener than this one”. On the other hand is the more accurate quantitative statement, which has its base off numbers. It would be more like “This plant is 110% greener than that one.”. Other common math terms are the Mean (average of numbers), median (middle number), and mode (the most accruing number.)
