Uncertain Reduction Theory • Relational comm. involves exchanging of personal information • Deals w/ ways in which individuals come to know themselves and others in interaction • Focus on self awareness and knowledge about others • People have a difficult time w/ uncertainty, so they want to be able to predict behavior with interactions. They inform themselves about the person.
