  2. Genre • Music that’s in now • The genre for my music magasine will be music that’s in now so dance/electronic, hip hop, with a sub genre of club classics, chart hits • (fashionable music, what's in now)

  3. AUDIENCE • 14-21 year old females/students interested in knowing the latest music, artists and events

  4. Title • One • I Chose ‘one’ because it’s short, clear and memorable. It also reflects how it only shows the number one artists and how you should only read 1 magazine which is one.

  5. POSIBLE TAGLINES • YOU ONLY NEED TO KNOW ONE • BEAT THE BASS • YOU NEED TO NOW ABOUT NOW • I chose you only need to know one because its simple and reminds people how relevant it is, also informs how this is the only magazine where

  6. Ideas for front cover Picture This photo is a very interesting one because of the angles and bright blue background showing a city skyline. This represents where the artist is from and the quirky body language again interest the reader and makes it more bold. I like this cover because of the interesting picture, and how its starting to reveal something but you have to read on to figure out what it is. I think pictures like this entice and excite the audience because it’s different from the others I like this cover because of the bold colour and natural body language of nas reflecting himself The extreme close up of this cover of his face creates a very bold and ‘in your face statement’ with him and his blue eyes almost hypnotising you to buy the magazine. It’s again different from many other magazine which will make it stand out from the others

  7. Layout of cover I couldn’t find any magazines with an interesting layout so I think it depends on my picture and how the text will fit around it. I like the idea of having a bold coloured puff in the corner to make it that extra bit eye-catching I want to have clear and simple text so it’s easy to read and more minimalist than manic because I think that attracts more attention and will appeal to my readers.

  8. EDITORIAL MISSION STATEMENT • My aim for this magasine is to give people information about the latest artists and the newest music, including exclusive sneak peaks, give aways and keeping track of the artists and the latest upcoming events.

USP • My magazine will include the latest events and exclusive parties that you can go to, to get the readers involved with the music and the magazine. • One Magazine will also hold annual events with their favourite artists invited where lucky readers could have a chance to win tickets to watch them perform and meet with them. • It will also include exclusive interviews and unknown tracks for you to download. • There could also be download of the week, were One magazine lets readers download a track for that week for free. • It will also remind you club classics such as acid, house, electronic etc, which is coming back in, and make you feel as if your in the 90’s again. • The interesting photo will also be different from a plain ‘medium close up’ and make it stand out from the others

  10. Reader profile • My reader is a 18 year old student, currently working part time and going to university looking to blow off some steam. My reader will have a reasonable income which One magazine will be a big part of. My reader wants to have fun, get up to date with the latest artist and want to know all the upcoming events to get involved with the music. My reader will also want to subscribe to One magazine so she gets 1 free download from the One magazine’s weekly pick. • My reader will pick One magazine over any other because my reader wants to know how to get involved and have a chance to go to the most exclusive One parties. One magazine will also provide the latest tracks, never heard before tracks and unknown tracks which my reader will be very interested in and wants to know. She also links the clean and sharp style of One magazine. • She will want to be strongly interested in music and want to know about the exclusive interviews and events for her favourite artists and want to know about the 90’s club hits classics and what music is back in style. • She will also appreciate the hard work of the artists and everything that went into production with exclusive sneak peaks. Also wanting to know about music videos they have made and behind the scene shots.
