  2. This presentation is divided into three parts classified as follows: • Part A, which is about the questions that I will be answering. • Part B, which is about the answers to my questions. • Part C, which is about the definitions.

  3. The Questions

  4. Questions I will be answering: 1) What dramatic skill would you say is the best part in your performance? Why? 2) What dramatic skill do you find the most difficult and why? 3) What dramatic skill do you find the most difficult and why? 4) How has working to improve your dramatic skills helped you to portray your character?

  5. The Answers

  6. 1)What dramatic skill would you say is the best part in your performance? Why? • For me, I think the best part is the stage position, and that I suddenly appear behind a tree. I like this because I felt comfortable doing it as my part does not require me to show that much of body movement, facial expression, or gestures. My partwas kind of natural too.

  7. 2)What dramatic skill have you worked on improving this term in drama? What specific things have you done to make improvements? • This term in drama, I have worked really hard to improve my voice projection, which is to talk in a loud and clear voice. In order to do so, I tried to imagine that I am the only student in the room and no one is there watching me performing . This enabled me to overcome my shyness while performing my part.

  8. 3)What dramatic skill do you find the most difficult and why? • I believe that the facial expression is the most difficult and challenging skill to do. Sometimes when the person with you performing is acting funny, and youwant to laugh, but your part requires you to act scared, you might find it difficult to show a face of a scared person.

  9. 4)How has working to improve your dramatic skills helped you to portray your character? • Working on my voice projection helped me in enhancing my voice expressions while acting. Furthermore, It added more interests to my character through making my voice louder and clearer.

  10. Definitions

Dentitions of the These are the dramatic skills: • Voice projection – to speak in a loud, clear voice. • Voice connotation- to show feeling/emotion in your voice example: soft voice-scared, humble vs. loud, harsh voice-angry. • Facial expression- to show feeling and emotion in your facial expressions example: smile-happy vs. frown-sad. • Body movement- to show emotion and feeling with your body movements example: stomping feet-angry vs. hunched shoulders-scared. • Stage position – where and how you stand on stand example: face the audience when speaking. • Improvisation- making up lines when you forget your lines -adding lines and/or actions to improve the scene. • Gestures- hand movements that show emotion and feeling.
