Costs of CSL Learning and Development and links to PDPs • Most resources on CSL are free to view and download to the end user. These are paid for by an annual cost per head paid for by the training centre • Training courses and some distance learning will attract an additional charge. Where a training course or a chargeable resource is identified as the training solution it MUST be applied for through the normal PDP process for the payment to be honoured by the Training Centre (please see HRAN) • Time should be considered an indirect cost of using CSL resources. Managers should consider the benefits of people spending appropriate time using on line learning resources, and also the savings of offering e-learning solutions as a first step to meeting their staff development needs • Managers and individuals should also be aware of the impact that inappropriate use of MCA resources and time has on team and MCA performance.
