A monkey who lived on a fruit tree on the banks of a river and a crocodile who lived in the river became friends. They talked about many general things like the villagers, crops etc.
Crocodile’s wife did not like her husband’s friends ship with the monkey . She asked her husband to bring the monkey home one day. She wanted to eat the heart of the monkey.
The crocodile was afraid of his wife . He invited the monkey home. The monkey went happily without knowing the real aim of the crocodile.
Midstream the crocodile told the monkey the real reason . Monkey was clever. He said “ Oh No! Why didn’t you tell me before? I have forgotten to take the heart with me. Take me back . Let me get my heart”.
The foolish crocodile who believed the words of monkey took him back . The monkey jumped on to the tree and said, “ Good bye, friend. I don’t want to meet you again”. The crocodile return home sadly . He had lost a good friend forever.
