Know to be the father of Toxicology • The study of the effects of chemicals on living organisms • Studied the effects of decomposition on exhumed bodies • Created new techniques to enhance the accuracy of testing for arsenic. • His scientific work was titled "Traité des poisons" or "Toxicologie générale". • It discussedhis techniques and soonbecameused as a guideline for murder cases involvingsuspectedpoisoning.
