  2. The effects of rapid cliff erosion: Learning Objectives List and describe the effects of rapid cliff collapse Explain and link the effects of rapid cliff erosion at Holderness Categorise these effects and evaluate them

BBC video clips – watch these and list describe, explain, link, categorise and evaluate the effects • Farm is threatened by the sea at Holderness • Same farm but details on geology • Different farm and details on geology • Effects on pig farmer • That different farm and Longshore drift Also coastal defences and their knock on effects. (we looked at this last lesson)

  4. Writing it up One effect is …….. This is a …… type of effect. The knock on effects this could cause are….. And ……. Another effect is ……. Etc Or drawing it up Do the same as above but in small pencil sketches with very little writing. Draw an arrow to indicate “this can cause…” between sketches

  5. Placards and Protest chants! You are off to the Holderness town council meeting to hear a government minister explain why there will be no more money to protect your coastline. Create a catchy placard statement and marching chant for your protest outside the council buildings before the meeting starts!
