Getting started • Q path can be accessed from either home or work • You need to review your studies to keep track of how many of your required studies you have completed (Dr. Haydel will be reviewing Q path to keep track of your required number) • New Innovations is NOT sufficient to keep track of your ultrasounds
Before you start recording • When you start an ultrasound, enter the patient info under the “patient” key • This key is located to the upper left of the touchpad • It is very helpful to enter both the name and number of the patient (this helps me with QA) • See the next slide for the patient screen demo
The Patient Screen ENTER YOUR LAST NAME IN THE “READING DOCTOR” SPOT. PLEASE ENTER THE NAME OF THE STAFF YOU ARE WORKING WITH UNDER REFERRING DOCTOR. IF THERE IS MORE THAN ONE RESIDENT SCANNING, ENTER THE SECOND RESIDENT ALSO UNDER READING DR
Finishing up • Once you finishing recording all of your awesome images, go back to the “Patient” tab and hit “End Exam” at the bottom of the screen • Once you end the exam, Q-path will wirelessly transmit the images to the server • You are then ready to review
Step One: Go to www.lsuhsc.edu Click the CLICK THE DESKTOP ICON
Your next screen ENTER YOUR LOG IN AND PASSWORD THAT YOU USE FOR EPIC AND PRESS LOG ON
The Desktop SELECT THE “APPLICATIONS” OPTION
The Desktop SELECT MCLNO-QPATH (DUH)
Next Log In LOG IN NAME IS YOUR LAST NAME (NO FIRST INITIAL) AND PASSWORD IS lsuhsc1
Troubleshooting your Log In • Depending on if you log in from home or work, you may have another LSU log in prompt (after the applications page) • You will see a log in box similar to the one that you see when you first start the desktop • If this happens, log in again with your EPIC /LSU log in • The next screen should be the one on the previous slide – log in as detailed above
Troubleshooting your Log in • If you have logged in previously, you may have changed your password • If you have forgotten your password, there is an option on the log in screen to retrieve or change it (click “forgot your password?”) • If you can’t change it, please email me and I will help you change it • You can also login from the citrix app- for you tech savvy people

Splitting your exams • If you did an multiple exams on a single patient (for example, a FAST, AAA, and Biliary on one patient), these will all initially be lumped together. • You can separate them (and get credit for all that hard work) by splitting the exam

Saving Images CLICK “EXPORT” AS HIGHLIGHTED ABOVE. THIS WILL GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO EXPORT THE IMAGE OR VIDEO TO YOUR DESKTOP.
Exporting Images • This is useful for utilizing your images • For example, if you have a cool case, you can export your images for a case write-up or lecture
Checking on your ACGME requirements • Q-path has the capability to keep track of your exam totals so you know how many you need to meet your requirements • You can also check on your percentages (false positives, true positives, etc) as this info becomes available after you submit your studies for QA

Stats Page THIS IS THE DEFAULT STATS PAGE (I’VE BLACKED OUT THE RESIDENT NAME AT LEFT AND AT RIGHT). YOU WILL NEED TO SELECT A DATE RANGE IN ORDER TO SEE YOUR STATS. PUT IN THE DATES OF INTEREST AND SELECT “CALCULATE”.
Your Stats HERE ARE THE STATS. THE HIGHLIGHTED COLUMN IS THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF EXAMS. THE COLUMN TO THE LEFT OF IT ARE THE NUMBER COMPLETED AND THE COLUMN TO THE RIGHT OF IT ARE THE NUMBER REMAINING. THESE ARE THE ACGME REQUIREMENTS – THE OTHER ONES DON’T HAVE REQUIRED TOTALS LISTED
Troubleshooting • There is a user manual under the “Resources” Tab at the very top of the screen (next to Statistics) that is somewhat helpful • Please email me or call me if you need help • I will be happy to walk you through it
