Generic Paradox • The act of defining any particular genre is: “defining a Western on the basis of analysing a body of films that cannot possibly be said to be Westerns until after the analysis.”
Game Genre • Adds a new dimension: • Style of gameplay • The actions available to the player • Point of View • Control style/options • Object of the game Interactivity
