7. Estructura # 1 • In Spanish there are two verbs that mean to be. They are serand estar. These verbs have very distinct uses. They are not interchangeable. Seris used to express a trait or characteristic that does not change. • Estaris used to express a temporary condition or state.

9. Estructura #2 Ser y estar Origin and location • The verb ser is used to express where someone or something is from. • Estaris used to express where someone or something is located.
