Volunteer Work Abroad Work with Habitat A non-profit charitable housing service organization An international institution dedicated to eliminating poverty and homelessness through the participation of hands-on volunteers and the benevolence of business corporations Habitat has built, renovated and repaired almost 300,000 homes in dozens of countries and territories including many in the Asia-Pacific region.
Duties and requirement To build homes at Habitat Thailand site for the poor as well as disadvantaged people together with the local villagers. Requirements • Full time BBA students • Minimum GPA 2.3 • Proficient in English • Heart for volunteering
Habitat - Schedule and Sponsorship Programme Period Total: 4 weeks 26 June – 16 July 2011 (3 weeks in UdonThani, Thailand) • Sponsorship • Up to HK$13,000 1 week of volunteer work at Habitat HK Office or CB Office after trip
Students feedbacks and experiences: I met people from all over the world and learnt to collaborate with individuals with different cultural background. I experienced team-work and conflict handling. Building earthquake-proof houses with volunteer-friendly tools, erecting light materials, all were done collaborate with the local , thus created vast amount of cross-cultural contact.

Students feedbacks and experiences: We took care of babies, played with young children and helped some people who are physical or mentally disabled. I learnt the more simple you live, the more happiness you have. From the other volunteers of Helping Hands. I learnt that to appreciate what we encounter and treasure what we have in our life.
