  3. During December, 5th and 6th graders have conducted a home water use survey together with Maths teacher. The survey was aimed to find out how much water an average household uses daily for: showers, baths, toilet flushes, toothbrushing, hand dishwashing, dishwasher and laundry. Students have recorded water consumption in their families during one week. Based on the average water use for each water activity, each student has calculated his/her family's total water use. Tijekom prosinca, učenici 5. i 6.r su zajedno s učiteljicom matematike proveli istraživanje o potrošnji vode u svojoj obitelji. Cilj istraživanja bio je saznati koliko vode dnevno troši prosječno kućanstvo za: tuširanje, kupanje, ispiranje wc školjke, pranje zubiju, ručno pra- nje suđa, strojno pranje suđa i pranje rublja. Učenici su bilježili potrošnju vode u svojoj obi- telji tijekom jednog tjedna. Na temelju prosječne potrošnje vode za pojedi- nu aktivnost, svaki je učenik izračunao ukupnu potrošnju vode u svojoj obitelji.

Kada bi se svaki član tuširao jednom dnevno po 5 minuta, cijela obitelj bi trošila 230 litara vode dnevno za tuširanje. According to thestatisticsaveragefamilywith 4-5 members use 920 – 1058 litresofwaterdaily for theseactivities. Prema statističkim podacima, prosječna obitelj s 4-5 člana troši 920 – 1058 litara vode dnevno za ove aktivnosti. ALLTOGETHER: 1377 litres of water per day UKUPNO: 1377 litara vode dnevno

About 388 litresperday alltogether, whichgives about 142 cubicmeters peryear. Preračunato u novac to je oko 1800 kuna/godišnje (na temelju jedinične cijene vode u Međimurju, Hrvatska) Converted into money that is about 240 €/year (based on the water unit price in Međimurje County, Croatia).
